On December 17, 2024, the Frederick County Council approved Resolution 24-39, establishing a Compensation Review Commission (CRC) and assigning its six members. Frederick County's Charter requires the Council to convene a Commission every four years with the charge of reviewing the salaries and benefits of the elected officials. The Commission reviewed the salaries of the seven Council Members and that of the County Executive.
The Compensation Review Commission members: Mark Jafari, Chair, Dawn Oram, Vice Chair, Randy Scritchfield, Brent Simmons, Tim Tosten, and Robert Van Rens.
The Compensation Review Commission presented their final report to the County Council on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
