Mason Carter - District 5

Council Member Mason Carter was born and raised in Frederick County, graduating from Walkersville High School in 2022. He attends Frederick Community College.

 

Before seeking office, Council Member Carter volunteered in local, state, and federal elections before being tapped as campaign manager for a Mayoral candidate in the City of Frederick. He was also appointed as a County Representative to the Maryland Center for School Safety in 2021. 

 

Council Member Carter currently serves as the youngest Councilman in Frederick County and the State of Maryland.

 

Council Member Carter serves on the following Boards and Commissions:

 

Parks and Recreation Commission – Voting Member

Meeting Location:  355 Montevue Lane, Suite 100, Bourne Building

Second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm

 

Rustic Road Commission – Point Person - Liaison Not Required

Meeting Location:  1st Floor Hearing Room, Winchester Hall

Second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm 

 

Weed Advisory Committee – Liaison Not Required

Meeting Location:  MD Cooperative Extension Building

Once a year in March at 8:30 am
