About
The Department of Permits and Inspections provides permitting, inspection and code enforcement services to protect the health, safety and welfare of all citizens of Frederick County. The department is responsible for the issuing zoning certificates, building permits, electrical permits, plumbing permits, gaming permits and other related permits in Frederick County (excluding the City of Frederick and Mt. Airy). The department also provides a centralized location for the collection of many fees for non-building permits and impact fees, and acts as a clearinghouse for permit applications. Applications are distributed and tracked from this office.
