Christmas Tree Recycling

recycle treeDecember 26, 2019 through January 26, 2020.
It's the ultimate in re-gifting - give us your cut Christmas tree and we'll turn it into mulch or compost!

Please remove all tinsel, ornaments, lights, tree stands, plastic ties, etc. before bringing your natural, cut tree for recycling at any of the county's six convenient drop off locations.

(Frederick County does not provide curbside collection of Christmas trees, but many municipalities and homeowners associations do; please inquire with your local town or HOA office for information.)

Free Mulch Fridays!

On Friday January 3 and Friday January 10, 2020, all loose double-ground shredded mulch will be available to residents and contractors  FOR NO CHARGE, no limits to quantity taken! (Now that's regifting!)

Winter is a great time to add mulch to protect your garden beds from the freeze-thaw cycles or to make landscape paths less slippery.

Our mulch is screened and ground, all natural material. Available in bulk only. We load open trucks or trailers; residents may self-load smaller quantities...bring a bag and a shovel.
