Business and Industry Cabinet

Cabinet's Purpose

The BIC will serve as an advisory board to the County Executive on matters related to sustainable and inclusive economic and workforce development, including strategic planning, marketing, and business recruitment, retention, and expansion. The BIC will also provide a forum for business leaders and government officials to share ideas, solutions, and creative approaches to business and workforce topics and issues facing Frederick County.

The membership shall include ex-officio members: the Chief Financial Officer of Frederick County, the President and CEO of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, and representatives on behalf of the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce, the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the Maryland LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.
