Board's Purpose
The purpose of the Fire and Rescue Advisory Board is to provide a functional management structure that ensures that input from volunteer, career, and citizen stakeholders is provided and considered during the policy making and policy review process and to keep stakeholder representatives engaged in the management of an integrated, countywide fire and rescue system.
Meeting Times
Meets at 7:00 pm the 2nd Monday of each month.

How to Get Involved
The Board has 2 Citizen Representative seats. Appointments occur on a rolling basis and as positions open. Preference may be given to a qualified applicant who is a resident of the City of Frederick. Interested persons must not be affiliated with the fire and rescue service in any way, so they may purely represent the consumers’ perspective regarding fire and rescue services. Must be registered voter and resident of Frederick County.
Procedure for Appointment
The Council may recommend candidates to the County Executive for appointment. The County Executive appoints the board members, with confirmation by the County Council. Members serve three-year, staggered terms. If your qualifications match current openings, please apply by sending your letter of interest along with a current resume to FCGBoards@FrederickCountyMD.gov.
