About Transit


Transit provides public transit, paratransit, and commuter services,/employer outreach information throughout Frederick County, MD serving medical, employment, education, shopping centers, and more!

Public Transit


9 Connector Routes operate in the City of Frederick and the urbanized areas of Frederick County. Commuter shuttles and two Meet-the-MARC shuttles operate each weekday.

Paratransit


Transit-plus is a demand response paratransit service for senior citizens and people with disabilities. ADA Paratransit is available for people with disabilities that prevent them from using the fixed route bus service. Pre-registration is required.

Taxi Access Program


An additional option for Transit-plus users, the TAP provides subsidized trips via local taxicab companies.

Commuter Services


Transit provides information on regional transit options, including MARC Commuter Rail, MTA Commuter Bus, Metrobus and Metrorail, and other commute alternatives. Transit is a member of Commuter Connections, a program of the Washington Metropolitan Council of Governments. This computerized carpool and vanpool matching service is offered free to Frederick area commuters.

Employer Outreach


Free service to local employers to assist in commute strategies for their employees, assistance setting up telework programs, parking strategies, pre-tax transit benefits and more.
