The Senior Services Division strongly recommends the use of masks for visitors and employees entering Division facilities, including senior centers. Individuals can always choose to wear a mask at any time based on personal preference and/or personal level of risk. Other mitigation measures include personal actions such as physical distancing, vaccinations, boosting, testing and remaining home when not feeling well or having symptoms.
Senior Center mitigation measures include: “In-person programs will be limited as centers operate on abbreviated schedules during the reopening. In order to assure safe and adequate distancing, programs will have limited seating capacity, masks are strongly recommended, and preregistration will be required for all programs and activities. Drop-In activities are not offered at this time.”
The 50+ Community Centers offers a variety of fitness classes such as strength training, yoga, Zumba, and line dance.
In addition, social, recreational, and educational programs are scheduled. These include discussion groups, book clubs, film club, drawing class, and health and nutrition programs.
