FREDERICK, MD – A several-week closure of Pear Lane, originally scheduled to begin May 13, has been postponed until after Memorial Day. The closure is necessary to allow the Department of Highway Operations to remove and replace a deteriorated metal pipe culvert with a concrete box culvert, and to repair and resurface the pavement. The project is anticipated to last at least two weeks, weather permitting.
Motorists will be asked to follow the signed detour route, which uses Opossumtown Pike and Ford Road.
