FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County Government offices will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024, for the Martin Luther King Holiday. County offices and services will return to regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday, January 16.
Clarifications to the holiday schedule:
- Animal Control: Administrative office will be closed, and kennels will be closed for adoptions on Monday, January 15. Animal Control Officers will be available for animal related emergencies only on Monday, January 15, call 301-600-1544. - Division of Solid Waste and Recycling: The Reich’s Ford Road Facility, including the Transfer Station, Yard Waste and Compost Programs, Citizens Convenience Center, and Recycling Center, will be Open Martin Luther King Day with limited admin customer support. Recycling collection will not be impacted.
