[ARCHIVED] Frederick County Government Operations will be closed Thursday, 2/18 due to inclement weather

FREDERICK, MD –Due to inclement weather, Frederick County Government operations will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021. COVID-19 vaccination clinics scheduled for Thursday are cancelled. 

Employees will operate under the liberal leave policy. All “Non-Essential” County employees, including teleworking employees, may take paid administrative leave. County employees who are designated as “Essential” are expected to perform their duties as they normally would.  If an “Essential” employee is required to report to work on time, they will not be placed on administrative leave and will be expected to work and perform duties as directed by their management/supervisor.

 COVID-19 vaccination clinics scheduled for tomorrow will be rescheduled to Sunday 2/21. Appointment times will remain the same. Messages were sent to confirmed appointments for 2/18.

  • Thursday's clinic at Scott Key Center will be moved to Butterfly Ridge Elementary School for Sunday.
  • Thursday's clinics at Butterfly Ridge Elementary School and Frederick Community College will remain at those locations for Sunday.

No walk-ins available. Appointments required for vaccination.

The Vaccine Appointment Line Call Center will open on time at 8AM tomorrow. If you know someone who was born in or before 1947 without internet access, please encourage them to call 301-600-7900 (English) or 301-600-7905 (Spanish) for vaccination appointment assistance.  

Frederick County Public Libraries will be closed. Curbside Pickup appointments can be rescheduled online or by calling your local branch once we reopen. Virtual resources and services are still available 24/7 at www.fcpl.org.

Frederick County Circuit and District Courts will also close.
