Tonight viewers across the nation can watch the premiere of a special five-minute documentary about Frederick County. The first national broadcast of “Frederick County: Leading the Way” will air at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Fox Business Network. The time may vary, so viewers should tune in from 8 to 9 p.m. A second national airing will take place on the same channel the evening of Sunday, June 16. The video also will air on other networks regionally and on public television stations nationwide at later dates.
“Frederick County has a great story to tell,” said County Executive Jan Gardner. “I’m proud to have the opportunity to share our story about biosciences and other innovative industries to a broad audience. Frederick County is a great place to live, work and raise a family.”
Filming of the documentary took place in October 2018 after a national television production company approached County Executive Jan Gardner about wanting to shine a spotlight on Frederick County. The production focuses on how the county is leading the way in innovation. In addition to County Executive Gardner, business leaders from RoosterBio, Yakabod, and Phoenix Mecano appear in the production to talk about Frederick County’s high quality of life.
