The Federal Emergency
Management Agency has presented a new Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood
Insurance Study (FIS) report for Frederick County public review and comment.
The review period of the
preliminary data closes Oct. 31, 2018. The review period provides the
community, officials and citizens in the affected communities with an
opportunity to identify changes or corrections to non-technical information,
such as corporate limits, road names, and stream names on the FIRM or in the
FIS report.
