Today marked the grand opening of ROOT, a cutting-edge business and technology innovation center at 118 N. Market St. in the heart of downtown Frederick. County Executive Jan Gardner thanked the standing-room-only crowd for their support of her vision to transform the government office building into an innovation center designed to create jobs and help businesses grow.
“I am so excited to see this key initiative of mine come to life,” said Executive Gardner. “A new business considering locating in Frederick County can meet with our economic development staff, be introduced to the Chamber, and witness the partnership we have with higher education to support their workforce needs, all under one roof. Frederick County is truly leading the way with ROOT!”
