Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner, joined by City of Frederick Mayor Michael O’Connor, invites residents to join in a celebration event for Frederick native and Paralympic gold medalist Noah Grove. The special event will take place at 3:30 p.m. on April 3 in the first floor hearing room of Winchester Hall, 12 E. Church Street, Frederick, Md.
At 18 years old, Noah Grove is the youngest member of the 2017-18 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team, playing the position of forward. He recently won a gold medal at the World Sled Hockey Challenge held in Prince Edward Island. Grove was named the player of the game for the match against Italy on December 4, 2017. He was officially named to the Paralympic team on January 1, 2018.
During
the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games, Grove had two scores and three assists for
Team USA, and witnessed history as Team USA won its third straight gold medal
in the Paralympics.
