[ARCHIVED] Inclement Weather Disrupts Residential Recycling Service

Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions in the western region of the county, some residential recycling collection for Wednesday, February 7, was not able to be completed. Households scheduled for recycling collection that were not serviced are asked to leave their recycling carts at the street as crews will attempt to complete collection as conditions allow.

To receive information regarding recycling schedule changes and other program updates, residents are encouraged to sign up for notifications from the Department of Solid Waste Management; visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/recycle and click the link to “Stay Informed.” Updates can also be found by visiting the Department’s Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/FrederickRecycles

If residents have further questions or concerns, the Department of Solid Waste Management is available by phone at 301-600-2960.
