County Executive Jan Gardner today announced the appointment of Jeremy Kortright as director of the Frederick County Parks & Recreation Division. The County Council confirmed the appointment this afternoon with a 7-0 vote. Mr. Kortright had been serving as acting division director since June 10.
“I am pleased to welcome Jeremy to our outstanding team of Frederick County division directors. Through his years of hard work and dedication to our citizens, he has shown himself to be a skilled business professional with experience at a variety of aspects of the Parks & Recreation Division,” Executive Gardner said. “I am especially pleased to promote him from within the ranks of our own division. I appreciate the work of our county employees and he is one I am sure will be an outstanding leader and director.”
