Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner today announced three charter amendments that she has proposed to the County Council.
The proposed amendments would provide additional time for the County Council to consider and adopt the annual budget; adjust the public hearing notice and publication time for amendments to bills under consideration and extend the time to enact a bill from 90 days to six months; and provide the County Council with the ability to adopt emergency or expedited legislation.
