[ARCHIVED] 1/24 8:30 am - Local State of Emergency Remains in Effect

A Local State of Emergency remains in effect for Frederick County, Maryland -- all non-emergency vehicles should stay off roads due to ice and drifting snow. Interstates 70 and 270 through Frederick County have reopened.

Residents are asked to be patient as highway crews clear roads in aftermath of historic snow storm.

Offer help to elderly neighbors and those with disabilities.

Be careful doing snow removal to avoid overexertion or cardiac attack.

Call 911 in case of emergency.
