Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner will join other county elected officials, senators, delegates and representatives in Cambridge, Md., for the Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Winter Conference, December 9-11.
Executive Gardner will also be sworn in to serve her sixth term as a member of the board of directors.
“I am honored to be selected for MACo’s Board of Directors again,” County Executive Gardner said. “MACo advocates tirelessly on behalf of Frederick and our sister counties. The association ensures that Annapolis understands our perspective on legislative issues and concerns. As past president, I know MACo truly makes a difference.”
The theme of the conference is “Mission: Public Safety,” focusing on policing in the modern age and how new technology can enhance communications, coordinated response and public relations during routine emergencies and regional catastrophes.
