The Frederick County Family Partnership, a department of the Citizens Services Division, will hold its 25th anniversary celebration (1990 – 2015) at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, at its offices located at 8420 Gas House Pike, Suite EE, Frederick, Md.
Family Partnership is a unique one-stop shop of intergenerational services for families with young children that recognizes that parents are their child’s first and best teacher thereby offering age appropriate best practice child development and parent education activities.
As indicated by its name, Family Partnership functions through partnerships with local agencies such as but not limited to Frederick County Workforce Services, Frederick County Public Schools’ (FCPS) Judy Center, FCPS’ Virtual School, Frederick Community College’s Adult Education Office and Frederick County’s Department of Social Services.
Over the past 25 years, Family Partnership has served over 5,200 families. Within those families 5,800 children under the age of four were fully immunized and ready for school, 270 individuals obtained a high school diploma and over 1,000 individuals became gainfully employed.
Family Partnership is one of the highest performing centers of the Maryland’s Family Support Centers and is often viewed as the model to replicate.
