FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County is resuming plowing operations, including widening back and cleaning intersections. Once plowed, the roads will be treated again with granular salt and an additive to make it more effective in extreme cold.
Road conditions remain dangerous, especially due to extremely low temperatures. Motorists should continue to stay off the roads until conditions improve. If you must travel, reduce speeds, increase following distance, have a full tank of gas, and allow extra time to reach your destinations.
