FREDERICK, Md. – Members of the community are invited to take an online survey to share feedback about experiences riding a bike in their local community. Responses will help Frederick County in its efforts to obtain the Bicycle Friendly Community SM designation from the League of American Bicyclists.
A Bicycle Friendly Community is a community that actively supports bicycling and provides safe accommodation for cyclists such as trails, bike lanes, share the road campaigns, and organized rides. Frederick County aims to become a Bicycle Friendly Community to promote healthier lifestyles, reduce traffic congestion, and enhance our overall quality of life.
The survey, which is being conducted by the League of American Bicyclists, is open to people who are familiar with biking or who are interesting in biking. Feedback from the public will help the League of American Bicyclists panelists better understand Frederick County’s current bicycling conditions and potential areas for improvement.
The survey is open now through Sunday, October 5 and is available in both English and Spanish. To take the survey, please visit:
