FREDERICK, Md. – Frederick County residents and visitors of all ages are invited to attend a celebration in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday, September 12 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Sophie and Madigan’s Playground, 362 Contender Way in Frederick.
This family-friendly celebration will feature a proclamation from County Executive Jessica Fitzwater, food trucks, salsa dancing, and information on Frederick County and City resources. A group photo will take place at 7:30 PM. Guests are invited to join in and display their heritage with clothing and flags.
This event is co-sponsored by Frederick County Government and The City of Frederick. In the case of rain, the celebration will be held on Thursday, September 19 at the same time and location. The event will be recorded for future broadcast on FCG TV.
