FREDERICK, MD – In response to a request from the community, speed humps will be installed along Weller Road in Monrovia beginning on or about Thursday, February 1. The Frederick County Division of Public Works’ Traffic & Permit Section advises that speed humps will be installed between MD 75 and Weller Hill Drive. Motorists should use caution while operating within the work zone. Installation is expected to take one to two days, weather permitting.
Residents submitted a petition requesting speed humps along Weller Road. The Division of Public Works conducted an investigation and determined the humps designed to reduce traffic speed were warranted.
