[ARCHIVED] Frederick County Announces Post-Storm Assessment Survey

FCG Seal

FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick County Division of Emergency Management has released a post-storm assessment survey to gauge the extent of damage suffered during the heavy rain and flooding that occurred in the County due to the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Businesses and residents who were affected by the heavy rains and flooding are asked to take a few minutes and provide basic contact information and briefly describe any losses suffered during the storm.

The online damage survey will help gather data in support of a possible request for disaster assistance. If the county qualifies for assistance, these monies may be available to help businesses and residents cover the cost. However, it is not a guarantee that Frederick County will qualify for any assistance.

Completing the damage survey will also help the County identify the geographic areas affected by the flooding, and evaluate flood mitigation projects to reduce the impact of future heavy rain or flooding events.

The survey is available at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/DamageAssessment. The survey responses are due by Friday, September 10, 2021.

Residents with questions or concerns regarding insurers can contact the Maryland Insurance Administration
