With the change in seasons, Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner encourages residents and businesses to be prepared for potential springtime severe weather and significant rains.  A National Weather Service flood watch is in effect through this evening, with rainfall amounts around 1-3 inches.  While this event is not expected to have a severe impact, it is important to remain aware that things can change quickly in the spring.

For tips regarding activity before, during and after flooding, visit  www.weather.gov/safety/flood.

As with any emergency planning, citizens and businesses should have a kit, a plan and know where to find local information.
