[ARCHIVED] Gardner Presents 2016 Annual Report Full of Positive Changes and Great Accomplishments

County Executive Jan Gardner today presented an annual report for 2016 on the accomplishments of Frederick County Government, emphasizing the county’s robust financial outlook, first-ever Triple A bond rating, ethics reform, job creation and economic development, retention of the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center and Montevue Assisted Living facility, investment in public education and school construction, public safety advancements and focus on many other priority community needs.


“I am proud to report that Charter Government is working and is delivering good results for our taxpayers,” said Executive Gardner. “Our financial outlook is strong and our long-term conservative approach to budgeting and managing county government meets the highest financial standards. My focus remains on jobs, seniors, education and community needs with an emphasis on people, prosperity and good government. The future is bright for Frederick County!”


Executive Gardner also presented the Comprehensive Annual Financial Statement (CAFR) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016. The annual report and financial statement will be presented to the County Council on at 4:30 p.m. December 13, in the first floor hearing room of Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street, Frederick, Md.
