The Board of County Commissioners announced the appointment of Charles Nipe as director of the Frederick County Public Works Division, effective October 31. He will manage approximately 185 full-time employees and oversee the Department of Highway and Facility Maintenance, the Department of Engineering and Construction Management and the Department of Fleet Services, as well as direct land acquisition, leases and sales of county properties.
