This Capital Improvement Program project is for the rehabilitation of the existing two-span steel through truss on Sixes Bridge Road over the Monocacy River. The bridge, consisting of two 119-foot spans, was built in 1890 and last rehabilitated in 1995. The project will include replacement of deteriorated and damaged structural members, repoint & repair of existing stone masonry substructure units, and complete cleaning & painting of structural steel.
The project is currently in the design phase.
