Form Instructions:
- Complete all of the requested information. Property identification can be found on the Maryland State Department of Assessments & Taxation website
- If a parcel has not had a tax bill generated yet, a parent parcel ID MUST be supplied when requesting the lien certificate/tax status report.
- Each individual parcel/property number will require its own lien certificate/tax status report and ALL Deeds require a lien certificate/tax status report to be accepted.
- A $20.00 fee + convenience fee will be charged when requesting the lien certificate/tax status report.
- Submit the completed lien certificate/tax status report as a supporting document in Simplifile.
- For all other submissions, the completed lien certificate/tax status report must accompany the document it supports
- Please allow 3-business days for this request to be completed.
- Charges owed to a municipality are NOT reflected but MUST be satisfied prior to transfer.
