Form Instructions:

  • Complete all of the requested information. Property identification can be found on the Maryland State Department of Assessments & Taxation website
  • If a parcel has not had a tax bill generated yet, a parent parcel ID MUST be supplied when requesting the lien certificate/tax status report.
  • Each individual parcel/property number will require its own lien certificate/tax status report and ALL Deeds require a lien certificate/tax status report to be accepted.
  • A $20.00 fee + convenience fee will be charged when requesting the lien certificate/tax status report.
  • Submit the completed lien certificate/tax status report as a supporting document in Simplifile.
  • For all other submissions, the completed lien certificate/tax status report must accompany the document it supports 
  • Please allow 3-business days for this request to be completed.
  • Charges owed to a municipality are NOT reflected but MUST be satisfied prior to transfer.
