4. Let's GEAR UP!

   Registration is now open for Frederick County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services 2025 Orientation Training Sessions! Whether operational or non-operational, all new members are highly encouraged to GEAR UP for this enriching, educational, and motivating experience. Orientation is being offered to provide new volunteer members with an introduction to the Fire and Rescue Service. It will also be a great benefit in preparation to attend classes offered by Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI). Training will include: an introduction to apparatus, CPR-AED, and several other compliance programs. In addition, Personal Protective Equipment and SCBA will be offered, which requires medical clearance prior to the start of class. All classes will take place at the Public Safety Training Facility located at 5370 Public Safety Place, Frederick, MD 21704.
