The Prospect Center project is currently undergoing review processes with the City of Frederick. Both the Zoning Map Amendment and Final Site Plan Approval & Combined Forest Stand Delineation and Preliminary Forest Conservation Plan processes are complete. Plan review is currently in progress. Following approval, permits will be secured.

Meeting Schedule
· September 17, 2024 - Council Legislative Meeting
The Division of Emergency Management plans to complete a “Ballon Visual Demonstration” to identify the height of the proposed monopole communication tower, to be located on the Prospect Center site. The installation of this tower is essential to 9-1-1 and public safety communications throughout Frederick County. People may observe a temporary weather balloon, red in color and 5 feet in diameter, hoisted to the proposed 150-foot tower height. Weather pending, the demonstration is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM). A backup date for the demonstration is set for Thursday, January 22, 2026.
