Septic System Pump-Out Rebate

About the Program

Our Green Homes Program offers "Green Incentives" to encourage actions that make your household- and our community- more sustainable! A septic tank that is not taken care of can be a source of pollution to the local waters we use for things like drinking, recreation, and fishing.

To encourage regular tank cleaning, we offer a $75 rebate every 5 years to households that have their tank pumped out by a licensed hauler. Applications are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to funding availability.

To apply for a rebate, please follow these steps:

1. Use a licensed pumping company on our list of permitted haulers.

(If you have never applied for a septic rebate before, please skip to step three.)

2. If you have previously received a rebate, please use the Pump Out Eligibility Calculator below to check if you are eligible for your next rebate. Properties are eligible to receive a rebate every five years. Please note: Don't delay! Please apply for your rebate promptly. Pump-outs that occurred before January 1, 2024, are no longer eligible to receive a rebate.
