Department of Climate & Energy

The Department of Climate & Energy works in support of county and regional goals to address climate change and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with local, state, and federal targets. Our projects increase Frederick County’s energy independence, provide economic opportunity and technological advancement, improve the resiliency of County operations, and attract grant funding. For residents, we provide resources to conserve energy and reduce costs, learn about and adopt "green" actions, and connect with programs and people working to make our community more sustainable.
