Frederick County Government is working to prepare our economy and infrastructure to be resilient in a changing climate. We are committed to protecting our local environment and natural resources. We are focused on ensuring that the community's voice is heard and that needs are assessed equitably. We are determined to make  "going green" affordable and accessible for more people.

At the end of 2024, the EPA issued a $997,266 Environmental Justice grant in support of our Green Homes Program, to make sustainability initiatives more accessible and affordable for Frederick County households.

Beginning in January 2025, federal executive actions revoked the contract on this and other congressionally-approved funds.
