Crossroads: Change in Rural America Exhibit

Americans come together at the crossroads. They invest in places and build their futures where their paths cross. Small towns became the center of commerce, trade, local politics, and culture. For some, the crossroads affirmed a new life in a new place. For others, the crossroads meant hard work and hard times.

Use our equipment to convert your photos and analog home videos and audio recordings to digital formats you can share and enjoy today! Staff and volunteers will be available to help. Formats accepted: photographs (up to 8.5 x 11.7 inches), slides, and negatives, VHS, VHS-C and mini-DV cassettes, and audio cassettes. Bring a flash drive or other device to save your files. This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Maryland State Department of Education. Please call for an appointment.
