Thermo Fisher Scientific is the new title sponsor of the Society for Science’s premier middle school STEM competition, now called the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge.?The Frederick County Science and Engineering Fair is one of 300 middle school science fairs across the country funneling into our national competition. For decades, Thermo Fisher has invested in school-based STEM programs and through our sponsorship of the Junior Innovators Challenge, we will be able to continue our longstanding commitment to widespread and equitable access to STEM education. Thermo Fisher is a global life sciences company with our headquarters in Waltham, MA, and with over 100,000 employees around the world. In Maryland alone, we have over 1,700 employees including 900 at our site in Frederick, MD.
