Safety. Respect. Dedication. Service to community. Every day, our staff shows up to work and keeps Frederick County moving. Transit Worker Appreciation Week is the perfect time to say “Thank you!” to the dedicated and hard-working staff of Transit Services of Frederick County. Whether they’re operating our vehicles safely throughout the County, answering rider questions and reserving Transit-plus rides, processing our finances, or dispatching and supervising — everywhere and in every way our riders need help — Transit’s employees are there. Please take a moment to officially thank a Transit Services team member March 12-18!
Join Transit Services as we express our sincere gratitude for our team and honor their service throughout Transit Worker Appreciation Week, culminating on Saturday, March 18th with Transit Driver Appreciation Day. Celebrated across the United States annually, Transit Driver Appreciation Day is a chance for us to give special thanks to those special few who move Frederick County forward. Transit Services provides safe, accessible, and reliable public transportation throughout Frederick County, Maryland, and we couldn’t do it without the commitment of our entire team (who deserve a week-long celebration!)
Our Transit drivers are heavy machinery operators, social workers, first responders, and customer service representatives. They are skilled, effective, and engaged workers who provide a critical service to the residents, employees, and visitors in Frederick County, often operating in challenging weather conditions and often operating early in the morning or late at night. As you board your bus this week, reserve your ride by phone, or encounter us at outreach events, be sure to help us honor our team and say “Thank you!”
