Applicants with permits or planning applications that will be reviewed through the electronic plan review system, Project Dox, will receive an invitation to create a Project Dox account after an application has been submitted through the public portal and the required review fees have been provided.
The Department of Permits and Inspections provides:
Permitting, inspection and code enforcement services to protect the health, safety and welfare of all citizens of Frederick County.
Responsible for the issuing Zoning Certificates, Building Permits, Electrical and Plumbing Permits, Gaming Permits and other related permits in Frederick County (excluding the City of Frederick and Mt. Airy).
Centralized location for the collection of many fees for non-building permits and impact fees.
Acts as a clearinghouse for permit applications. Applications are distributed and tracked from this office.
