2023 Benefit Highlights
As of January 1, 2023, expect a few improvements and changes to your benefits:
- New Cigna medical ID cards with new ID numbers will be issued this year. This new card must be used starting January 1, 2023. Discard all old medical ID cards; they will not be accepted after December 31, 2022.
- Great news—the Medical & Dental plan premiums will not have an increase for 2023 and the VSP vision premium will decrease for 2023.
- The Cigna True Choice Medicare (PPO) plan will continue to be available to Medicare eligible retiree plan participants. Details are provided below in the Medical Plan Information Tab.
If you are unsure about which health and/or dental plan you are enrolled in currently, log into www.mycigna.com or download the myCigna app on your mobile device. If you have never used this website before, you will need to register first. Alternatively, you may call Cigna Customer Service at 1-800-244-6224.
If you have questions about any of the medical and/or dental plan’s features, Cigna will operate a special Pre-Enrollment Hotline at 1-888-806-5042, starting November 1st.
If you have the County subsidized Medicare Supplement plans, AARP/United Healthcare will communicate any coverage updates and rates directly to you.
