This is a free workshop series about end of life planning. The Seton Center is partnering with the Emmitsburg Senior Center/Department of Aging in offering this series in April.


The Inside Scoop: Education and Ice Cream


The Urbana Center offers an evening program the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy an informative presentation and ice cream. A fried chicken dinner is served at 5:15 p.m. ($5, reservations required).

Ask Nurse Steve

Each month Steve Stoyke, LPN, provides a brief overview and answers your questions about a current health topic. He also conducts free blood pressure screenings. Please refer to the centers' monthly calendar for dates and times.

1. Senior Community Service Employment Program, March 29, 12:30-4 pm Info Session
The SCSEP Program supports low income seniors who need to develop skills and gain experience. Seniors receive paid training at a nonprofit or government agency while they provide community service. For more information please call 240-395-0918 or email us at jcascsepinfo@accessjca.org

Program Eligibility for customers: You MUST BE 55 years old or older, a Frederick or Montgomery County Resident, unemployed AND meet income guidelines. A One-Person Household cannot exceed income of $14,850 for 12 months prior to being accepted into the program. A Two-Person Household cannot exceed $20,025 for 12 months prior to being accepted into the program. To obtain income eligibility for three or more in the family, contact the SCSEP office at 240.395.0918.
