Senior Center Without Walls (SCWOW) is an outreach to older adult communities throughout Frederick County.
In addition to a monthly newsletter filled with information, activities and program ideas for group leaders; the SCWOW coordinator and other Senior Services Division staff are available for informational presentations to older adult and other community based groups and organizations.
Out of the abundance of caution, the Frederick County Senior Services Division has temporarily closed all senior centers to the public until further notice.
The Meals on Wheels program will continue to deliver two meals a day to homebound adults, Monday through Friday, or adults of any age with a chronic health condition or disability who meet program eligibility guidelines and live in Frederick County.
Senior Services Division offices will remain open and staff are available to answer questions at 301-600-1234.
Each month Steve Stoyke, LPN, provides a brief overview and answers your questions about a current health topic. He also conducts free blood pressure screenings. Please refer to the senior centers' monthly calendar for dates and times.
MAP provides information and assistance to area residents. Each month Joy Rowe visits the centers to talk about a specific program or service. Please refer to the senior centers' monthly calendar for dates and times.
The Senior Services Division Virtual Learning Center provides online videos to assist Frederick County residents with information on topics of importance and interest. Additional videos will be added regularly.
