Housing Choice Voucher Program to Open for Applications in Six Eastern Shore Counties on February 1, 2023
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development announced today that the Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting lists will be open for Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Somerset, Talbot, and Worcester counties. Online applications will be accepted beginning at 9 a.m. on February 1, 2023, until 5 p.m. on February 28, 2023. Preliminary applications must be submitted online at MD DHCD Waitlist Check. Individuals with disabilities or others who need additional support may receive assistance completing a preliminary application by emailing dhcd.hcv@maryland.gov or calling 1-800-445-4340. Maryland Homeowner Assistance Fund
Governor Larry Hogan announces opening of Maryland Homeowner Assistance Fund. This fund will be administered by the MD Dept. of Housing & Community Development and will support mortgage relief, home repairs, housing counseling, and legal services. The program is a partnership between Frederick County, the City of Frederick, and the Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs.
