Web Map Services

Frederick County’s ArcGIS Map Services can be accessed in multiple ways. Frederick County provides free web mapping applications at https://www.frederickcountymd.gov/5451/Online-Mapping-Applications for general use.  Map services are also available through REST at https://maps.frederickcountymd.gov/arcgis/rest/services.  They can be viewed in ArcGIS 10.1 and above by creating a GIS server connection in ArcCatalog. 

To create a connection using ESRI ArcCatalog, open GIS Servers in the Catalog Tree and select Add ArcGIS Server, Select Use GIS Services, click Next, and enter https://maps.frederickcountymd.gov/arcgis/rest/services as the URL. Click Finish and the connection will be created. Navigate through this connection to add data to your ArcMap session or view data within ArcCatalog. Please be aware that the map services provided may change at Frederick County’s discretion.
