Countywide Maps


Frederick County provides a set of standard countywide map document products. Maps are updated on an as needed basis.
Both 8.5 x 11" and 34 x 44" maps are available in PDF format below for download. These maps can also be purchased at the Frederick County GIS Document Shop. The costs are listed for a print of the detailed 34 x 44" plotted maps. The scale for 8.5 x 11" is 1:280,000 and the scale of the 34 x 44" maps is 1:70,000.

PDF Features


Our PDF documents provide advanced geographic components that are available through ESRI’s ArcGIS 10.2 and Adobe Acrobat 9 software packages. This new geographic functionality includes a Geospatial Location Tool and other various measuring tools. To utilize these tools you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 or higher.

If you are using Windows Explorer and Acrobat 7 to view the pdf files, you might run into a "Insufficient data for an image" message. If that is the case, save a copy of the pdf file in your local disk, and open the pdf file from Acrobat Reader.
