FACILITIES: Landfill, Transfer Station & Recycling Drop-Off Center - Holiday Closures

Each year, the Reich's Ford Road facilities are closed in observance of the following holidays: 

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Veterans Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day

RECYCLING COLLECTION: Curbside Recycling Holiday Shifts

Due to the facility closures listed above, there is no residential recycling collection on those seven holidays.

These holidays do not cancel recycling service, but rather shift all collections on and after the holiday one day later than the usual schedule. For example: If your regular collection day falls on the Monday of Memorial Day, you would receive collection on Tuesday  instead, and consequently all other collection days for that week would be one day later than their usual pick-up, with the last collection day being Saturday.
 

OFFICES: Division of Solid Waste Management & Recycling - Office Closures

 In addition to the facility holidays listed above, only the administrative offices are closed to walk-in and telephone customers on these additional holidays. Office closures (main facility remains open):

• Juneteenth
• The day after Thanksgiving
• The day after Christmas

If any of the above holidays occur on a Saturday, the offices will be closed the preceding day (Friday). If any of the above holidays occur on a Sunday, the offices will be closed the following day (Monday). All offices have 24-hour voice messaging; please feel free to leave a message and staff will promptly return your call on the following business day.
