First "Status of Women in Frederick County" Report (2009)
The FCCFW introduced their first Status of Women in Frederick County report. The report establishes a statistical benchmark by which the FCCFW can measure the progress of women in Frederick County as compared to men in the areas of the economy, education, the law, health care and elected office. The report shows that while a lot of progress has been made in the areas of education, health care and the law, much progress is still needed. Women consistently earn less than men regardless of educational level; the gap is the most significant where educational levels are highest – for those with graduate and professional degrees. Needs Assessment Survey (2005)
The FCCFW conducted 2 major surveys to assess the needs of women in Frederick County. The first was conducted in the mid-1990's, using focus groups, targeted surveys and public forums. In 2005, more than 400 women from varying demographic and ethnic communities throughout the county participated in this Needs Assessment Survey. As a result of the Needs Assessment Survey, the FCCFW made recommendations to address findings.
