Fleet Services
The Fleet Services Department is responsible for the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of the County’s fleet of 950 vehicles and equipment. The department also manages the County’s fuel inventory and tracks all fuel dispensed into County vehicles.

County-owned vehicles include cars and light trucks, cruisers, heavy-duty trucks, construction and off-road equipment, fire apparatus, transit buses, and a wide range of specialty equipment.

Fleet Services operates in the following three facilities:

• Light Truck and Car shop, Heavy Equipment and Truck shop, and Fire Apparatus shop - 31 Montevue Lane
• Light vehicle shop - 110 Airport Drive - Law Enforcement Center
• TransIt Bus Maintenance Facility - 1040 Rocky Spring Road

Fleet Services has 27 employees and an operating budget of $8 million. Of the 27 employees, Fleet has the following certifications:

• 13 ASE Master Certified Technicians
• 1 ASE Certified Technician
• 3 EVT Master Certified Technicians
• 1 EVT Certified Technician
• 1 ASE Certified Auto Part Specialist
• 150 Total ASE Certificates
• 27 Total EVT Certificates
