Medicare and Medigap Workshops

Mobile Information and Assistance (I&A)
The team from Md Food Bank, Energy Assistance and the DoA will visit each senior center monthly to provide information, answer questions and complete applications for SNAP (food stamps), Energy Assistance, and Medicare Subsidies. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins will be welcome.

2013 Events
“There’s A Doctor In The House” is held the second Wednesday of each month, 5:00-7:00pm. A light dinner is available for $5.00 beginning at 5:00, with the program beginning immediately after dinner. Please call 301-600-1048 to make reservations for a meal and /or program. On May 8 Acupuncturist Claudia Olsen will discuss and demonstrate the benefits of Acupuncture as a complement to traditional medicine.

Silver Ribbon Series The Frederick County Department of Aging and the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Silver Ribbon Series. These informative sessions are based around elder abuse and public safety concerns. Seniors, caretakers, professionals, and community members are invited to attend this free series being offered June 10-14, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. at the Department of Aging, 1440 Taney Avenue, Frederick.
